Mosquito Exterminator Services
You can count on mosquitoes to return for spring and summer, especially here: Long Island, Eastern Long Island, the metro New York area and New York City.
It’s hard to get that spring and summery Rest Easy Feeling when you’re constantly spraying on repellent or slapping at mosquitoes; you need mosquito pest control.
They just won’t leave you alone.
Thanks to our sometimes-rainy weather and general humidity, we have an especially long mosquito season here. Populations of these nasty insects can increase seemingly overnight, producing whole new fleets of mosquitoes ready to whine and bite.
There are several different kinds, and some can be viciously aggressive. They can be much worse than merely annoying, by:
- Biting and blood-sucking, which can cause skin problems, especially for kids.
- Transmitting the highly dangerous West Nile Virus, which can cause encephalitis in horses and human as well as birds.
- Keeping you awake at night.
- Ruining outdoor fun and family gatherings.
Forget that. Call the mosquito pros.
Wearing an insect repellent containing DEET is often considered as the most effective way to prevent mosquito bites. It’s also essential to take actions to prevent mosquito breeding grounds in your yard since mosquitoes can lay eggs in any standing water.
Warmer weather also quickens a mosquito’s reproductive lifecycle, they can lay more eggs and have them hatch rapidly.
At Rest Easy Pest Control, we understand your pain caused by mosquito bites and we’re here to help. We’re experienced professionals, and we’re your neighbors so we have the local know-how to effectively solve your problem.
Our mosquito pest control program can give you that Rest Easy Feeling so you can take back your summer. Finally, you’ll get a good night’s sleep. And you’ll be able to step outside comfortable and relaxed, able to enjoy our beautiful surroundings and weather.
New Mosquito Technology
Our newest offering for mosquito control is the In2Care Mosquito Trap. This trap is a way to infect mosquitoes with chemicals that are safe around children but kills mosquitoes. How it works is, mosquitoes breed in water, so it provides an area for them to lay eggs. Those eggs they lay will never hatch because the In2Care Trap prevents them from doing so.
The mosquito who laid those eggs is also infected by the trap. Now, wherever else life may take the mosquito to breed, be it in your gutters, bird bath, or a tiny water bottle cap on the ground with a few drops of water, will also be infected with the chemical. This way, any other mosquito who comes into contact with your gutter, their eggs will also never hatch, and they are infected as well.
This chain reaction is expected to do some serious damage to the mosquito population, and is huge for areas like Long Island where mosquito control is a big problem. If this were for a solution for bees, it would be a big problem since we need bees for our survival. Mosquitoes however are not entirely necessary and really do more harm than any good.
